[845] Therein, what is ignorance (avijjā)? That which is unknowing, non-seeing, … the bolt of ignorance, delusion, the unwholesome root — this is called ignorance. Therein, what is craving for existence (bhavataṇhā)? That which, in regard to existences, is desire for existence, … cleaving to existence — this is called craving for existence.
