[853] Therein, what is amenability to correction (sovacassatā)?
When one is being admonished in accordance with the Dhamma (sahadhammika): the being easy to admonish, easiness to admonish, the state of being easy to admonish, the not taking hold of the opposing side, the absence of delight in contradiction, deference, deferentialness, respectfulness, compliance — this is called amenability to correction.
Therein, what is association with good friends (kalyāṇamittatā)?
Those persons who have faith (saddhā), who are virtuous, learned, generous, and wise — whatever resorting to them, resorting constantly, resorting closely; keeping company with them, keeping close company; devotion, strong devotion; the state of being inclined toward them — this is called association with good friends.
