[852] Therein, what is being difficult to admonish (dovacassatā)?
When what is in accordance with the Dhamma (sahadhammika) is being said: the act of being difficult to admonish, the quality of being difficult to admonish, the state of being difficult to admonish, taking the contrary side, delighting in opposition, disregard, the state of disregard, lack of reverence, lack of deference — this is called being difficult to admonish.
Therein, what is bad friendship (pāpamittatā)?
There are those persons who are without faith (saddhā), immoral, of little learning, stingy, of poor wisdom: whatever association with them, frequenting of them, close association with them, companionship, close companionship, devotion, strong devotion, the state of being inclined toward them — this is called bad friendship.
