[889] Which phenomena (dhammā) are limited (paritta)? The wholesome of the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the unwholesome, all the resultant (vipāka) of the sense sphere, the functional indeterminate (kiriyābyākata) of the sense sphere, and all form (rūpa) — these phenomena are limited.
Which phenomena are exalted (mahaggata)? Those of the fine-material sphere (rūpāvacara) and the immaterial sphere (arūpāvacara), wholesome and indeterminate — these phenomena are exalted.
Which phenomena are measureless (appamāṇa)? The four paths (magga) that are unincluded (apariyāpanna), the four fruits of the ascetic life (sāmaññaphala), and Nibbāna — these phenomena are measureless.
