Abhidhammapiṭaka · Dhammasaṅgaṇī · Vol. 34 · Section 932

[932] Which phenomena (dhammā) are objects of the hindrances (nīvaraṇiyā)? The wholesome in the three planes (bhūmi), the unwholesome, the resultant (vipāka) in the three planes, the functional indeterminate (kiriyā-abyākata) in the three planes, and all form (rūpa) — these phenomena are objects of the hindrances. Which phenomena are not objects of the hindrances (anīvaraṇiyā)? The four paths (magga) that are unincluded (apariyāpanna), the four fruits of the ascetic life (sāmaññaphala), and Nibbāna — these phenomena are not objects of the hindrances.
