[957] Which phenomena (dhammā) are subject to clinging (upādāniyā)?
The wholesome (kusala) in the three planes (bhūmi), the unwholesome (akusala), the resultant (vipāka) in the three planes, the functional indeterminate (kiriyābyākata) in the three planes, and all form (rūpa) — these phenomena are subject to clinging.
Which phenomena are not subject to clinging (anupādāniyā)?
The four paths (magga) that are unincluded (apariyāpanna), the four fruits of asceticism (sāmaññaphala), and Nibbāna — these phenomena are not subject to clinging.
