Having given gifts, undertaken virtue, and performed the Uposatha observance, some arise in companionship (sahabyatā) with affluent khattiyas; some arise in companionship with affluent brahmins; some arise in companionship with affluent householders; some arise in companionship with the devas of the Four Great Kings (Cātummahārājikā); some arise in companionship with the Tāvatiṃsa devas; some arise in companionship with the Yāmā devas; some arise in companionship with the Tusitā devas; some arise in companionship with the Nimmānaratī devas; some arise in companionship with the Paranimmitavasavattī devas.
