[157] Therein, which, in brief, are the five aggregates subject to clinging (pañcupādānakkhandhā) that are suffering (dukkha)?
Namely: the aggregate of form subject to clinging (rūpūpādānakkhandha), the aggregate of feeling subject to clinging (vedanūpādānakkhandha), the aggregate of perception subject to clinging (saññūpādānakkhandha), the aggregate of volitional formations subject to clinging (saṅkhārūpādānakkhandha), the aggregate of consciousness subject to clinging (viññāṇūpādānakkhandha). These are called, in brief, the five aggregates subject to clinging that are suffering.
This is called the noble truth of suffering (dukkhaṃ ariyasaccaṃ).
