[306] Therein, what is ignorance (avijjā)? That which is absence of knowledge (aññāṇa), absence of vision, … the bar of ignorance (avijjā-laṅgī), delusion (moha), the unwholesome root (akusala-mūla) — this is called ignorance.
Therein, what is the volitional formation with ignorance as condition (avijjāpaccayā saṅkhāro)? That which is volition (cetanā), intending, the state of having intended — this is called the volitional formation with ignorance as condition.
Therein, what is consciousness with formation as condition (saṅkhārapaccayā viññāṇaṃ)? That which is mind (citta), mentality (mano), mentation (mānasa), … the corresponding mind-consciousness element (tajjā manoviññāṇa-dhātu) — this is called consciousness with formation as condition.
Therein, what is name with consciousness as condition (viññāṇapaccayā nāmaṃ)? The aggregate of feeling (vedanākkhandha), the aggregate of perception (saññākkhandha), the aggregate of volitional formations (saṅkhārakkhandha) — this is called name with consciousness as condition.
