[44] By way of one (ekavidhena), the aggregate of feeling (vedanākkhandha) is associated with contact (phassasampayutta).
By way of two, the aggregate of feeling: there is that which is with root (sahetuka); there is that which is without root (ahetuka).
By way of three, the aggregate of feeling: there is that which is wholesome (kusala); there is that which is unwholesome (akusala); there is that which is indeterminate (abyākata).
By way of four, the aggregate of feeling: there is that which belongs to the sense sphere (kāmāvacara); there is that which belongs to the form sphere (rūpāvacara); there is that which belongs to the formless sphere (arūpāvacara); there is that which is unincluded (apariyāpanna).
By way of five, the aggregate of feeling: there is the bodily-pleasure faculty (sukhindriya); there is the bodily-pain faculty (dukkhindriya); there is the joy faculty (somanassindriya); there is the grief faculty (domanassindriya); there is the indifference faculty (upekkhindriya).
By way of six, the aggregate of feeling: feeling born of eye-contact (cakkhusamphassajā vedanā), feeling born of ear-contact, feeling born of nose-contact, feeling born of tongue-contact, feeling born of body-contact, feeling born of mind-contact (manosamphassajā vedanā). Thus is the aggregate of feeling by way of six.
By way of seven, the aggregate of feeling: feeling born of eye-contact … feeling born of body-contact, feeling born of mind-element contact (manodhātusamphassajā vedanā), feeling born of mind-consciousness-element contact (manoviññāṇadhātusamphassajā vedanā). Thus is the aggregate of feeling by way of seven.
By way of eight, the aggregate of feeling: feeling born of eye-contact … feeling born of body-contact — there is pleasant, there is painful — feeling born of mind-element contact, feeling born of mind-consciousness-element contact. Thus is the aggregate of feeling by way of eight.
By way of nine, the aggregate of feeling: feeling born of eye-contact … feeling born of body-contact, feeling born of mind-element contact, feeling born of mind-consciousness-element contact — there is wholesome, there is unwholesome, there is indeterminate. Thus is the aggregate of feeling by way of nine.
By way of ten, the aggregate of feeling: feeling born of eye-contact … feeling born of body-contact — there is pleasant, there is painful — feeling born of mind-element contact, feeling born of mind-consciousness-element contact — there is wholesome, there is unwholesome, there is indeterminate. Thus is the aggregate of feeling by way of ten.
