[605] "Seeing danger in the slightest faults" (aṇumattesu vajjesu bhayadassāvī): Herein, which are the slightest faults (aṇumattā vajjā)?
Those faults which are slight, minor, light, reckoned as light, to be dealt with by self-control (saññama), to be dealt with by restraint (saṃvara), to be dealt with by an arising of mind (cittuppāda), bound up with attention (manasikāra) — these are called the slightest faults.
With regard to these slightest faults, he is one who sees fault, who sees danger, who sees disadvantage (ādīnava), and who sees the escape (nissaraṇa); therefore it is said, "seeing danger in the slightest faults."
