[690] "Because of non-attention (amanasikāra) to perceptions of diversity (nānattasaññā)" — herein, which are perceptions of diversity? That perception (saññā), perceiving, state of having perceived which belongs to one who has not entered an attainment (asamāpanna) and who is endowed with the mind element (manodhātu) or endowed with the mind-consciousness element (manoviññāṇadhātu) — these are called perceptions of diversity. These perceptions of diversity he does not attend to. Therefore it is said, "because of non-attention to perceptions of diversity."
