[882] Therein, what is the pursuit of gain by means of gain (lābhena lābhaṃ jigiṃsanatā)?
One intent on gain (lābha), honor, and fame, one of evil desires (pāpiccha), overcome by desire, carries material goods (āmisa) obtained here to there, or brings material goods obtained there to here: whatever seeking, seeking for, seeking out, searching, searching for, searching out of material goods by means of material goods there is of such a kind — this is called the pursuit of gain by means of gain.
