[924] Therein, what is failure in morality (sīla-vipatti)? Bodily transgression (vītikkama), verbal transgression, bodily-and-verbal transgression — this is called failure in morality. All immorality (dussīlya), too, is failure in morality. Therein, what is failure in view (diṭṭhi-vipatti)? "There is nothing given, nothing offered, … who, having themselves realized this world and the other world by direct knowledge (abhiññā), declare it": whatever view of such a kind, resort to views (diṭṭhigata), … perverted grasp (vipariyesaggāha) — this is called failure in view. All wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi), too, is failure in view.
