[950] Therein, what is discontent (arati)? Regarding remote lodgings (senāsana), or regarding one or another of the higher wholesome phenomena (adhikusalā dhammā): discontent, being discontented, non-delight, not delighting, dissatisfaction, agitation — this is called discontent.
Therein, what is cruelty (vihesā)? Here someone harasses beings with the hand, or with a clod, or with a stick, or with a knife, or with a rope, or with one or another such thing: whatever harassing, intense harassing, hurting, intense hurting, vexing, intense vexing, injuring of others there is of such a kind — this is called cruelty.
Therein, what is unrighteous conduct (adhammacariyā)? Unrighteous conduct, uneven conduct by body; unrighteous conduct, uneven conduct by speech; unrighteous conduct, uneven conduct by mind — this is called unrighteous conduct.
