[966] Therein, which are the four perversions (vipariyesa)? In the impermanent (anicca), 'permanent' — a perversion of perception (saññā), a perversion of mind (citta), a perversion of view (diṭṭhi); in suffering (dukkha), 'happiness' — a perversion of perception, a perversion of mind, a perversion of view; in what is not-self (anattā), 'self' — a perversion of perception, a perversion of mind, a perversion of view; in the foul (asubha), 'beautiful' — a perversion of perception, a perversion of mind, a perversion of view. These are the four perversions.
