[504] Those phenomena (dhammā) that are dissociated (vippayutta) from phenomena that are clingings (upādāna); those phenomena that are dissociated from phenomena that are defilements (kilesa); those phenomena that are dissociated from phenomena that are defiled (saṅkiliṭṭha); those phenomena that are dissociated from phenomena associated with defilements (kilesa-sampayutta); those phenomena that are dissociated from phenomena that are both defilements and subject to defilement (saṅkilesika); those phenomena that are dissociated from phenomena that are both defilements and defiled; those phenomena that are dissociated from phenomena that are defiled yet are not defilements; those phenomena that are dissociated from phenomena that are both defilements and associated with defilements; those phenomena that are dissociated from phenomena that are associated with defilements yet are not defilements — those phenomena, setting aside the unconditioned (asaṅkhata) from the aggregates, are included (saṅgahita) by the five aggregates (khandha), by the twelve sense bases (āyatana), and by the eighteen elements (dhātu). By how many are they not included? There are no aggregates, no sense bases, and no elements by which they are not included.
