[1038] [Sakavādin:] Is there, for one who has entered upon the attainment (samāpatti) of the earth-kasiṇa (paṭhavīkasiṇa), knowledge (ñāṇa) with regard to what is distorted (viparīta), and is that wholesome (kusala)?¹

[Sakavādin:] "Permanence in the impermanent (anicca)" is a distortion (vipariyesa) — and is that wholesome?
[Paravādin:] It should not be said thus. …
