[1240] Sakavādin: Does form (rūpa) exist among the formless (arūpa)? Paravādin: Yes. Sakavādin: Has it not been said by the Blessed One that the formless is the escape (nissaraṇa) from forms? Paravādin: Yes. Sakavādin: If it has been said by the Blessed One that the formless is the escape from forms, then indeed it should not be said that "form exists among the formless."
