[1282] Sakavādin: Is form (rūpa) action (kamma)?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: But was it not said by the Blessed One: "When there is the body, Ānanda, pleasure and pain (sukhadukkha) arise internally with bodily volition (kāyasañcetanā) as the cause; or when there is speech, Ānanda, pleasure and pain arise internally with verbal volition (vacīsañcetanā) as the cause; or when there is mind, Ānanda, pleasure and pain arise internally with mental volition (manosañcetanā) as the cause"? Is there indeed such a discourse (suttanta)?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: If so, it should not be said that form is action.
