[1332] [Sakavādin:] Are the latent tendency of repulsion (paṭighānusaya), the latent tendency of conceit (mānānusaya), the latent tendency of views (diṭṭhānusaya), the latent tendency of doubt (vicikicchānusaya), the latent tendency of lust for existence (bhavarāgānusaya), and the latent tendency of ignorance (avijjānusaya) without an object (anārammaṇa)? [Paravādin:] Yes. [Sakavādin:] Are ignorance (avijjā), the flood of ignorance (avijjogha), the bond of ignorance (avijjāyoga), the latent tendency of ignorance, the obsession of ignorance (avijjāpariyuṭṭhāna), the fetter of ignorance (avijjāsaññojana), and the hindrance of ignorance (avijjānīvaraṇa) without an object? [Paravādin:] It should not be said thus. … [Sakavādin:] Are ignorance, the flood of ignorance, the bond of ignorance, … the hindrance of ignorance with an object (sārammaṇa)? [Paravādin:] Yes.
