[1508] [Sakavādin:] For a person accomplished in view (diṭṭhisampanna), the bad destination (duggati) is abandoned?
[Paravādin:] Yes (āmantā).
[Sakavādin:] A person accomplished in view … sounds pertaining to the states of loss (āpāyika) … odours … tastes … tangible objects …; might engage in sexual intercourse (methunaṃ dhammaṃ) with a non-human female, with a female animal, with a nāga maiden; might accept goats and sheep; might accept fowl and swine; might accept elephants, cattle, horses, and mares; … might accept partridges, quails, peacocks, and francolins?
[Paravādin:] Yes.
[Sakavādin:] If a person accomplished in view might accept partridges, quails, peacocks, and francolins, then surely it should not be said: "For a person accomplished in view, the bad destination is abandoned."
