[1526] [Sakavādin:] Does one who is face to face [with it] abandon the fetter (saṃyojana)?
[Paravādin:] Yes.
[S.] Does one who is lustful abandon lust (rāga), one who is full of hate abandon hatred (dosa), one who is deluded abandon delusion (moha), one who is defiled abandon the defilements (kilesa)?
[P.] It should not be said thus. …
