[1531] [Sakavādin:] "Is there lust for the disagreeable (asātarāga)?"
[Paravādin:] "Yes."
[Sakavādin:] "Are there beings who delight in suffering (dukkha) — some who wish for, long for, seek, search for, and go in quest of suffering, and who remain holding fast to suffering?"
[Paravādin:] "It should not be said so. …"
[Sakavādin:] "Is it not so that there are beings who delight in pleasure (sukha) — some who wish for, long for, seek, search for, and go in quest of pleasure, and who remain holding fast to pleasure?"
[Paravādin:] "Yes."
[Sakavādin:] "If there are beings who delight in pleasure — some who wish for, long for, seek, search for, and go in quest of pleasure, and who remain holding fast to pleasure — then indeed, good sir, it should not be said that there is lust for the disagreeable."
