[1532] S. Is there lust for the disagreeable (asātarāga)?

S. Does the latent tendency of lust (rāgānusaya) lie latent in painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā), and does the latent tendency of repulsion (paṭighānusaya) lie latent in pleasant feeling (sukhā vedanā)?
P. It should not be said thus. …
S. Is it not that the latent tendency of lust lies latent in pleasant feeling, and the latent tendency of repulsion lies latent in painful feeling?
P. Yes.
S. If the latent tendency of lust lies latent in pleasant feeling, and the latent tendency of repulsion lies latent in painful feeling, then indeed it should not be said that there is lust for the disagreeable.
