Does the perception of cruelty (vihiṃsā-saññā) arise immediately after the perception of non-cruelty (avihiṃsā-saññā)? Does ill will arise immediately after loving-kindness (mettā)? Does cruelty arise immediately after compassion (karuṇā)? Does discontent (arati) arise immediately after altruistic joy (muditā)?
