[1555] [Sakavādin:] Does the unwholesome root (akusala-mūla) link on to the wholesome root (kusala-mūla)? [Paravādin:] Yes. [Sakavādin:] Does the perception of sensuality (kāma-saññā) arise immediately after (anantarā) the perception of renunciation (nekkhamma-saññā)? Does the perception of ill will (byāpāda-saññā) arise immediately after the perception of non-ill will (abyāpāda-saññā)? Does the perception of cruelty (vihiṃsā-saññā) arise immediately after the perception of non-cruelty (avihiṃsā-saññā)? Does ill will arise immediately after loving-kindness (mettā)?
