[1693] Paravādin: Is there no accumulation of merit (puññūpacaya) for an Arahant? Sakavādin: Yes. Paravādin: Would an Arahant give a gift (dāna)? Sakavādin: Yes. Paravādin: If an Arahant would give a gift, then surely it should not be said: "There is no accumulation of merit for an Arahant."
