P. Just as the holy life (brahmacariya) is lived under the Blessed One for the full understanding (pariññā) of suffering that is bound up with the faculties, so too, is the holy life lived under the Blessed One for the full understanding of suffering that is not bound up with the faculties?

P. Just as suffering that is bound up with the faculties, when fully understood, does not arise again, so too, does suffering that is not bound up with the faculties, when fully understood, not arise again?
S. It should not be said thus. …
P. Then indeed only what is bound up with the faculties is suffering.
