[1719] S. Should it not be said: "The Saṅgha eats, drinks, chews, and tastes"? P. Yes. S. But was it not said by the Blessed One — "a group meal (gaṇabhojana), an out-of-turn meal (paramparabhojana), food left over (atirittabhojana), food not left over (anatirittabhojana)"? P. Yes. S. If it was said by the Blessed One — "a group meal, an out-of-turn meal, food left over, food not left over" — then indeed, good sir, it must be said that the Saṅgha eats, drinks, chews, and tastes.
