S. That adverting (āvajjanā) … aspiration (paṇidhi) which is for the arising (uppāda) of the second jhāna — is that very same the adverting … aspiration for the arising of the third jhāna?
P. It should not be said thus. …
S. One passes over from the second jhāna to the third jhāna, and yet it should not be said that that adverting … aspiration which is for the arising of the second jhāna is the very same adverting … aspiration for the arising of the third jhāna?
