[1794] [Sakavādin:] Could annihilationism (uccheda-diṭṭhi) arise for a person fixed [in destiny] (niyata) through eternalism (sassata-diṭṭhi)? [Paravādin:] Yes. [Sakavādin:] If annihilationism could arise for a person fixed [in destiny] through eternalism, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said that "there is absolute certainty [of destiny] (accanta-niyāmatā) for the worldling (puthujjana)."
