[1835] Sakavādin: Is it possible to make the Tathāgata's dispensation (sāsana) new again? Paravādin: Yes. Sakavādin: Is it possible to make the establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) new again? Paravādin: It should not be said thus. … Sakavādin: Is it possible to make the right exertions (sammappadhāna), the bases of success (iddhipāda), the faculties (indriya), the powers (bala), … the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga) new again? Paravādin: It should not be said thus. … Sakavādin: Is it possible to make what was formerly unwholesome afterwards wholesome?
