Abhidhammapiṭaka · Kathāvatthu · Vol. 37 · Section 207

[207] "Does the Arahant fall away from Arahantship (arahatta)?" "Yes." "Does the Stream-Enterer (sotāpanna) fall away from the fruition of Stream-Entry (sotāpattiphala)?" "That should not be said." "Whose is the superior development (bhāvanā) of the establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) … development of the right exertions (sammappadhāna), development of the bases for success (iddhipāda), development of the faculties (indriya), development of the powers (bala), development of the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga) — the Arahant's or the Stream-Enterer's?" "The Arahant's." "If the Arahant's development of the factors of awakening is superior, and the Arahant falls away from Arahantship, then indeed, sir, it should be said: 'The Stream-Enterer falls away from the fruition of Stream-Entry.'"
