S.: Does the Once-Returner (sakadāgāmī) fall away from the fruition of once-returning (sakadāgāmiphala)?
P.: It should not be said thus.
S.: Whose development (bhāvanā) of the path (magga) … development of the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga) is superior: the Arahant's, or the Once-Returner's?
P.: The Arahant's.
S.: If the Arahant's development of the factors of awakening is superior, and the Arahant falls away from Arahantship, then indeed, sir, it should be said: "The Once-Returner falls away from the fruition of once-returning."
