[224] S. The Arahant has abandoned lust (rāga); does the Arahant fall away (parihāyati) from Arahantship (arahatta)? P. Yes. S. The Stream-Enterer (sotāpanna) has abandoned personality-view (sakkāyadiṭṭhi); does the Stream-Enterer fall away from the fruition of Stream-Entry (sotāpattiphala)? P. It should not be said thus. … S. The Arahant has abandoned lust; does the Arahant fall away from Arahantship? P. Yes. S. The Stream-Enterer has abandoned doubt (vicikicchā) … has abandoned adherence to rules and rituals (sīlabbataparāmāsa) … has abandoned the lust that leads to states of loss and woe (apāyagamanīya) … has abandoned the hatred (dosa) that leads to states of loss and woe … has abandoned the delusion (moha) that leads to states of loss and woe; does the Stream-Enterer fall away from the fruition of Stream-Entry?
