[458] [Sakavādin:] Is there no perplexity (vimati) for the Arahant regarding the Teacher (satthā), perplexity regarding the Dhamma, perplexity regarding the Saṅgha, perplexity regarding the training (sikkhā), perplexity regarding the past (pubbanta), perplexity regarding the future (aparanta), perplexity regarding the past and future, perplexity regarding phenomena (dhammā) dependently arisen through specific conditionality (idappaccayatā)?
[Paravādin:] Yes (āmantā).
[Sakavādin:] If there is no perplexity for the Arahant regarding the Teacher … perplexity regarding phenomena dependently arisen through specific conditionality, then truly, good sir, it should not be said: "There is perplexity for the Arahant."
