[476] "Is there, for an Arahant (arahā), emission of the impurity, semen (asuci-sukka-visaṭṭhi)?"
"Yes."
"But is not an Arahant one devoid of lust (rāga), devoid of hatred, devoid of delusion; one who has done what was to be done, who has laid down the burden, who has reached the true goal, whose fetter of existence (bhava-saṃyojana) is utterly destroyed, who is completely liberated through right final knowledge; one whose cross-bar has been lifted, whose moat has been filled in, whose pillar has been uprooted, who is without a bolt; a noble one, whose banner is lowered, whose burden is put down, who is detached, whose victory is fully won;¹ one by whom suffering (dukkha) has been fully understood, the origin (samudaya) abandoned, cessation (nirodha) realized, and the path (magga) developed; by whom what is to be directly known has been directly known, what is to be fully understood has been fully understood, what is to be abandoned has been abandoned, what is to be developed has been developed, and what is to be realized has been realized?"
"Yes."
"If an Arahant is one devoid of lust, devoid of hatred, devoid of delusion, one who has done what was to be done, … by whom what is to be realized has been realized, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said: 'There is, for an Arahant, emission of the impurity, semen.'"
