[674] [S.] Is it not the case that ordinary people (puthujjanā) recognize the speech (vohāra) of the Buddha, the Blessed One? [P.] Yes. [S.] If ordinary people recognize the speech of the Buddha, the Blessed One, then surely it should not be said: "The speech of the Buddha, the Blessed One, is supramundane (lokuttara)."
