[673] S. Is it not the case that people cognize the speech (vohāra) of the Buddha, the Blessed One, with mundane (lokiya) consciousness (viññāṇa)? P. Yes. S. If people cognize the speech of the Buddha, the Blessed One, with mundane consciousness, then indeed, sir, it should not be said: "The speech of the Buddha, the Blessed One, is supramundane (lokuttara)."
