[708] P.: "Does a disciple (sāvaka) know the defilement (saṅkilesa), the cleansing (vodāna), and the emergence (vuṭṭhāna) in regard to the jhānas (jhāna), liberations (vimokkha), concentrations (samādhi), and attainments (samāpatti)?" S.: "Yes." P.: "If a disciple knows the defilement, the cleansing, and the emergence in regard to the jhānas, liberations, concentrations, and attainments, then indeed, sir, you should say: 'The knowledge (ñāṇa), as it really is, of the defilement, the cleansing, and the emergence in regard to the jhānas, liberations, concentrations, and attainments — a power of the Tathāgata — is shared with disciples.'"
