[709] P. Does a disciple (sāvaka) know the recollection of former abodes (pubbenivāsānussati)? S. Yes. P. If a disciple knows the recollection of former abodes, then indeed, sir, it must be said: "The knowledge (ñāṇa) as it really is of the recollection of former abodes — a power of the Tathāgata (tathāgatabala) — is shared with disciples."
