[854] S. In the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana), should it not be said that perception (saññā) exists? P. Yes. S. Is it a one-constituent existence (ekavokārabhava), a destination (gati), … an acquisition of individuality (attabhāvapaṭilābha)? P. It should not be said thus. … S. Is it not a four-constituent existence (catuvokārabhava), a destination, … an acquisition of individuality? P. Yes. S. If it is a four-constituent existence, a destination, … an acquisition of individuality, then indeed you should not say: "In the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception it should not be said that perception exists."
