[871] S. Could a householder (gihī) be an Arahant?
P. Yes.
S. Would an Arahant engage in sexual intercourse (methunadhamma); would he give rise to sexual intercourse; would he dwell on a bed crowded with children; would he enjoy the sandalwood of Kāsi (kāsikacandana); would he wear garlands, scents, and unguents; would he accept gold and silver; would he receive goats and sheep; would he receive fowl and swine; would he receive elephants, cattle, horses, and mares; would he receive partridges, quails, peacocks, and francolins; would he wear a topknot ornament of hair with yellow stalks (pītavaṇṭavālamolika); would he wear white garments with long fringes; would he remain one living the household life for as long as he lives?
