[1032] Is body (kāya) bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra)? No. Are formations (saṅkhārā) verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra)? Verbal formation is both a formation and verbal formation; the remaining¹ formations are formations, not verbal formation. Is body bodily formation? No. Are formations mental formation (cittasaṅkhāra)? Mental formation is both a formation and mental formation; the remaining formations are formations, not mental formation. Is speech (vacī) verbal formation? No. Are formations bodily formation? Bodily formation is both a formation and bodily formation; the remaining formations are formations, not bodily formation. Is speech verbal formation? No. Are formations mental formation? Mental formation is both a formation and mental formation; the remaining formations are formations, not mental formation. Is mind (citta) mental formation? No. Are formations bodily formation? Bodily formation is both a formation and bodily formation; the remaining formations are formations, not bodily formation. Is mind mental formation? No. Are formations verbal formation?
