[1224] For whomever the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya) arose, will the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) arise for that one?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika), and for those who, having been reborn in the form sphere (rūpāvacara) or the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), will attain final Nibbāna, the eye-faculty arose, but the nose-faculty will not arise for them. For the others, both the eye-faculty arose and the nose-faculty will arise.
Or, for whomever the nose-faculty will arise, did the eye-faculty arise for that one?
