[1340] Does one who abandons the grief faculty (domanassindriya) develop the perfect-knowledge faculty (aññindriya)?
Yes.
But does one who develops the perfect-knowledge faculty abandon the grief faculty?
Two persons develop the perfect-knowledge faculty but do not abandon the grief faculty; one possessed of the path of non-returning (anāgāmimagga) both develops the perfect-knowledge faculty and abandons the grief faculty.
