[1350] Whoever does not abandon the grief faculty (domanassindriya), does that one not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty (aññindriya)?
Two persons do not abandon the grief faculty, yet it is not that they do not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty. Excepting the three persons endowed with the path (maggasamaṅgī), the remaining persons both do not abandon the grief faculty and do not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty.
Or rather, whoever does not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty, does that one not abandon the grief faculty?
Yes.
