[1354] One who does not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty (aññindriya) does not realize the perfect-knower faculty (aññātāvindriya)?
One who realizes the highest fruition (aggaphala) does not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty, but it is not the case that he does not realize the perfect-knower faculty. Excepting the three persons endowed with the path (maggasamaṅgī) and the Arahant, the remaining persons do not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty and do not realize the perfect-knower faculty.
Or rather, one who does not realize the perfect-knower faculty does not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty?
The three persons endowed with the path do not realize the perfect-knower faculty, but it is not the case that they do not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty. Excepting the three persons endowed with the path and the Arahant, the remaining persons do not realize the perfect-knower faculty and do not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty.
