[452] Is the eye (cakkhu) a faculty (indriya)? Yes (āmantā). Are faculties the pleasure faculty (sukhindriya)? The pleasure faculty is both a faculty and the pleasure faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties, not the pleasure faculty. Is the eye a faculty? Yes. Are faculties the pain faculty (dukkhindriya)? The pain faculty is both a faculty and the pain faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties, not the pain faculty. Is the eye a faculty? Yes. Are faculties the joy faculty (somanassindriya)? The joy faculty is both a faculty and the joy faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties, not the joy faculty. Is the eye a faculty? Yes. Are faculties the grief faculty (domanassindriya)? The grief faculty is both a faculty and the grief faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties, not the grief faculty. Is the eye a faculty? Yes. Are faculties the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya)? The equanimity faculty is both a faculty and the equanimity faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties, not the equanimity faculty.
