Niddesavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 56

[56] [Mind (citta)] that has ceased — is it ceasing? No. [Mind] that is ceasing — has it ceased? No. [Mind] that has not ceased — is it not ceasing? At the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa), [mind] has not ceased, but it is not the case that it is not ceasing; mind at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) and future mind have neither ceased nor are they ceasing. [Mind] that is not ceasing — has it not ceased? Past mind is not ceasing, but it is not the case that it has not ceased; mind at the moment of arising and future mind are neither ceasing nor have they ceased.
